Playproof

Terms

Last updated 20 October 2026

The agreement between you and the maker of Playproof, in plain language. If anything here is unclear, write to legal@playproof.app.

Who we are

Playproof is made by NETTVIS AS, a company registered in Norway with organisation number 934 445 562. You can reach us at legal@playproof.app. In these terms, "we" means NETTVIS AS and "you" means the person using Playproof.

Buying a licence

Stripe handles the payment, and is the seller of record for it through its Managed Payments service. Your receipt says “sold through Link”, Stripe's checkout brand. Stripe takes the payment, sends the receipt and charges any VAT or sales tax that applies where you live, and its terms apply to the payment itself. We provide the software and the licence, so contact us about anything to do with Playproof.

When the payment is done, you come back to Playproof, where your licence key is shown and already active in that browser. Keep the key: Stripe's receipt doesn't contain it.

What a licence gives you

Playproof is free to use, with a limit of 25 tracks per job. A licence removes that limit, for a one-time payment.

With either licence you may use Playproof for paid gigs and any other commercial work. To move a licence to another computer, deactivate it in the old browser (Settings → Licence), then enter the key in the new one.

Please don't publish or share your key outside the people the licence covers, resell it, or try to get around the licence check. A licence includes the updates we publish to Playproof.

Playproof is a website

Playproof runs in your browser from playproof.app. We work to keep it available and to keep improving it, but we can't promise it will always be available without interruption, or that every feature will stay exactly as it is. If we ever decide to stop offering Playproof, we'll announce it on this site in advance.

Your files

Everything Playproof does with your music happens on your own computer. It writes only where you tell it to: a playlist you choose to save (the original is kept as a .bak copy), or a stick or folder you export to. Keep a backup of your music library all the same; no software is a substitute for one.

What Playproof can and can't promise

Playproof's advice is based on manufacturers' published specifications, audio research and our own testing. Players differ between models and firmware versions, recordings differ, and music is endlessly varied. So we can't guarantee that a particular player will accept every file, that the quality check is right about every track, or that a tracklist is complete. Treat the results as well-founded advice, and check what matters to you before a gig.

Responsibility

Playproof is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost bookings, lost income or data loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, and it does not affect your rights as a consumer.

Your rights as a consumer

If you buy as a consumer, the law where you live may give you rights these terms cannot take away — in the EU and EEA, for example, the right to digital content that works as described. If Playproof doesn't work as described, tell us: we'll fix it, or refund you.

Refunds

You can have your money back within 14 days of buying, for any reason. See the refund policy.

Ending a licence

You can stop using Playproof at any time. We may deactivate a key that has been refunded, published, resold or obtained by fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Playproof changes; the date at the top shows when. The terms in force when you bought your licence apply to that purchase, unless a later version is better for you.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
